‘The Octopus’ Moring system is perfect if you have a
favourite place to stop on a regular basis. Unlike most
mooring systems the Octopus is eco-friendly and does not
harm the environment and eco-system when he is
installed, nor does it drag along the sea floor thus
preserving the marine life around it.
Manufactured from the highest quality urethanes
rubbers and stainless steel components the Octopus
enables the boating fraternity to create a temporary/
semi permanent boat mooring and permanent Jetty Springer
system.
The Octopus springer system is designed to take the
‘snatch’ out of the mooring ropes and dramatically
reduces the boat jerking while in mid to rough seas,
thus is the perfect mooring system for anyone who has a
small to midsized (38ft) boat and likes entertain or
sleep on their vessel.

For more information abut the wombat please visit out
Wombat section.
1) Assemble complete Octopus system (including Wombats)
and hang over the side of boat above the position you
are installing the Octopus.
2) If installing in water depth greater than 1m ensure
that you’re negatively buoyant (Snorkel or air tank and
weights etc). Lower Octopus system to the Ocean
floor.
3) When fully prepared dive to the system and detach a
wombat from the system (preferably the middle wombat);
this is the one attached to the limiter rope. Kneel on
Ocean floor and screw in using the supplied T-Bar
install the Wombat fully into the Ocean floor.
4) Install the remaining 3 wombats in a triangular
pattern approx 700mm apart as per the diagram. It is
easier if you unclip the blue tendons one by one, wind
in the Wombat and then re-clip to the shackle as each
Wombat is installed.
5) The Full installation should appear as in this
picture b. ensure the ropes and blue tendons are not
entangles or twisted.
